Back to basics

Being at home & watching CNN reports on economy all day long has made me think about the dire economic state we are into in a completely different perspective. Like how we were encouraged to spend the money we didn't really have; "CREDIT", & to spend some more to keep the buck rolling until one fine day it all crashed. How they say life is a complete circle, so mantra of the day is back to basics! Only buy things you can afford, make atleast a 20% downpayment on the mortgage, have as few monthly installments as possible, save atleast 25% of your paycheck, don't waste food & energy! Jeez, I wonder why the world ever drifted from these simple basic principles of life? Bullish capiltalism is to be blamed for some extent, the system which forced people into the credit cycle until it collapsed is to be blamed. But if we are done playing the blame game; its time to start saving people!
